Watching one of the three big screen projections of the World Cup
Afterward, we had planned on hitting Puerto Morelo, but the rains intensified. Buckets of rain. If you were in the rain for two seconds then you were drenched. Supposedly, a hurricane passed by the area and we were feeling some of the effects. Liz, the ever-adventurous one, still wanted to walk the ten minutes to the bus stop (in the rain), traipse around the pueblo (in the rain), and then wait for a van back (in the rain). I talked her out of it with some pretty strong logic. It was a good thing, too. The rain was vicious. All activities were basically on hold. We ended up reading on our deck, watching the madness. To make up for my party pooping (she later stated I was right in not wanting us to go), we went out and ate at Frida, the resort’s Mexican outdoor restaurant. The chips and salsa were tasty, but the steak tacos were to die for. I don’t know what voodoo magic they used, but I dove right into that mixture of meat, chilis, and onions. The whole meal was excellent. We wound down the day watching the latest King Kong. Sorry Peter Jackson, that movie sucked.Poolside

Upcoming tropical storm side.
Don't worry; we'll get more Liz pics very soon.
